The Susan G. Komen North Texas' 28th annual Race for the Cure – formerly held in Plano – is moving to The Star in Frisco, starting and ending on Cowboys Way at the Tostitos Championship Plaza. Online registration is open at until 5pm on Friday, May 18. For questions, email or call 972/378-4808.

Historically, four to six thousand participants, volunteers, and supporters – including approximately 300 breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer – join together for this event focused on raising funds to fight the disease.

Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised is invested in local programs providing breast health education, screening, diagnostic, and treatment services; the remaining twenty-five percent is invested at the national level in scientific research programs.

The race is the largest single source of funding for Komen North Texas grant investment. This year, Komen North Texas invested a collective $700,000 for mission programs including education, mammograms, diagnostics, treatments, research, and other critical life-saving programs.

For questions about The Star in Frisco venue, visit or call guest services at 972/497-4800.
