Fort Worth Opera, in partnership with Telemundo, celebrates the first year of its bold new initiative, Noches de Ópera (Nights of Opera), with Fiesta Fort Worth, a family-friendly party in Sundance Square Plaza.

The celebration of Latino culture and heritage features free family-friendly activities, a photo booth with props, electrifying mariachi and ballet folklórico performances, inspiring bilingual presentations from community leaders, and a simulcast of the smash-hit mariachi opera Cruzar la Cara de la Luna.

For the first time in history, an arts organization in Fort Worth will broadcast a live theatrical performance from the Bass Performance Hall on a huge, high definition screen in Sundance Square.

This free event honors the incredible cultural diversity of our North Texas community and celebrates Latino culture and heritage while offering everyone across Fort Worth an opportunity to see the world’s first mariachi opera, featuring the legendary Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.

Note: Please, no outside food or drinks. Your support of our merchants helps keep events like this free. This is a smoke-free event. Free to bring your chairs and blankets, but please, no pets.
