Arts & Crafts: DMA Family Days

The DMA Family Days in June will feature family-friendly activities inspired by the México 1900–1950: Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco, and the Avant-Garde exhibition from 11am-5pm as well as free admission to the DMA’s two new exhibitions Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion (opening Sunday, May 21) and Visions of America: Three Centuries of Prints from the National Gallery of Art (opening Sunday, May 28).

11am–12pm: Music in the Atrium. Kick off your family day with a performance of Mexican guitar music inspired by the México 1900–1950 exhibition.

11am–5pm: Art Highlight. Look for Yo Soy DMA ambassadors and signs throughout the exhibition to learn more about selected works of art. Offered in both English and Spanish.

1:30–3:30pm: Music in the Atrium. Enjoy musical performances, from Mariachi to Latin Jazz.

2–4pm: Pop-Up Art Spot, Art of the Ancient Americas galleries. Visit the Pop-up Art Spot in the DMA’s collection to enjoy a hands-on experience facilitated by the DMA’s Teen Ambassadors and Teen Advisory Council.
