Held the last full weekend in April at Quakertown Park, the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival is the 38th annual event features music, fine art and crafts, food, games and information booths in a beautiful, outdoor setting.

Move to the beat at one of seven stages with jazz, blues and cross-cultural music at the music capital of North Texas. Headliners are Randy Brecker on Friday, Los Lobos on Saturday and Brave Combo on Sunday.

Browse special pieces of art from juried artists and crafters and treat yourself to delicious offerings at one of several food courts.

The Children’s Art Tent, located in the north park, features 15 different stations with volunteers instructing the children in such creative outlets as clay and flower sculpture, tan gram art, stamp art, collage and drawing.

Check out the percussion petting zoo with Steve Gryb, the Pied Piper of Percussion, as well as the children’s wood tent. There are even games and activities for children: face painting, rock climbing, inflatables and a playground.
