The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival is a celebration of the arts in a community known for embracing and nurturing music, dance, choral, drama and the visual arts.

Held the last full weekend in April at Denton’s Quakertown Park, the event features seven stages of continuous music, fine art, crafts, and food, games and information booths in a beautiful, outdoor setting.

Move to the beat at one of seven stages with jazz, blues and cross-cultural music at the music capital of North Texas. Browse special pieces of art from 175 juried artists and crafters and treat yourself to delicious offerings at one of seven food courts.

Headliners on the Jazz Stage:

Friday at 9pm: Jack DeJohnette, Ravi Coltrane & Matt Garrison

Saturday at 9pm: Aaron Neville

Sunday at 7pm: Brave Combo

The Children’s Art Tent, located in the north park, features 15 different stations with volunteers instructing the children in such creative outlets as clay and flower sculpture, tan gram art, stamp art, collage and drawing. Check out the percussion petting zoo with Steve Gryb, the Pied Piper of Percussion, as well as the children’s wood tent.
