Activities: Florida Film Academy Summer Film Program ResidencyOvernight Student OR Day Student options available Beginner/Intermediate Film Camps available for Ages 11-15 OR Pre-College Summer Film Intensives for Ages 14-18 OR Creative Photography Residency or Day Student options for 6th-8th grade or 9th-12th grade 3 Florida Locations - Eckerd College in Tampa, Flagler College in St Augustine and Montverde Academy in Orlando Beginner/Intermediate Make a Movie Description: Students work together as a film crew to make their own original short films! Experience directing, editing, acting, camera, writing, teamwork and more! All equipment is included. Recommended for ages 11-15 PRE-COLLEGE DESCRIPTION: Join our list of award winning Students! Working with highly acclaimed industry professionals, students will learn how to write, produce, direct, film, edit and master a short film, including title sequences and a trailer, all in just five days. Students also explore the festival circuit as they set up their accounts and enter their completed work. Individual hands on instruction allows students of all experience levels to take part in this immersive experience. Instruction includes Script writing, Direction, Casting, Lighting, Cinematography and Editing. All equipment is included in the cost of this camp. Explore nature, architecture and more as students learn post production and editing techniques and produce a photo journal of your experience. *It is recommended that photography students provide their own camera. This camp is recommended for 6th-8th graders and 9th-12th grade!

Our mission is to inspire and promote excellence in creativity and visual arts through education, application and real world opportunities. Our students are given the tools and skills they need to succeed both now and in the future. Florida Film Academy is a leader in visual arts education. Students learn the power of visual communication through the framework of film and visual production, applying key skills such as reflective analysis, problem solving skills, critical thinking and teamwork. Our instructors have over 40 years combined experience in the broadcast and media industries and still actively work as writers, producers, directors, cinematographers and photographers for some of the world’s top networks. Our classrooms are equipped with state of the art technology and our students are encouraged to share their work with a wider audience through festival submission and theatre screenings.
