Activities: Design Thinking Design thinking is introduced to teach campers to use a systematic process to understand people and situations, define problems, and come up with innovative solutions. Challenges are given to campers as they work through the steps of the design thinking process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Children will work with: CrickoBot™ Epic Park™ I Can Invent: Maker Studio™ The Lab: Where Pigs Fly™ Maker Camp Stop Motion Animation

The Fort Worth Academy - Tinker, Innovate, and Create Summer Camp will provide students with the opportunity to use their imaginations in a fun, engaging manner while participating in real world challenges. Campers will collaborate to experiment, play, create, construct, and deconstruct while utilizing the hands-on application of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The Academy Summer Camp sessions will utilize the Camp Invention curriculum and other hands-on learning activities which may include Design Thinking,Cardboard Design, Maker Camp Challenges, Stop Motion Animation, Engineering Design Software and Building depending on the age of the camper. There are two sessions for children entering 2nd through 6th grades: June 5-10 & June 12-16 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM You may register for one or both sessions. Session I, June 5-9 $400 Session II, June 12-16 $400 Both Sessions, $800 ($125 Non-refundable Deposit Due at Registration). Balance/Registration due no later than May 1 (Discount available for those who pay before March 31 - see website for more details).
