Activities: What is ArtsVision™: ArtsVision™ is an innovative, creative summer and out of school visual and performing arts enrichment program, focusing on the arts for youth in grades 3rd through 9t. We are located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District; providing Dallas area youth an intensive, well-rounded, performing arts immersion experience through classes, workshops, and hands on activities. ArtsVision™ has been providing arts programming in the Arts District since 2014. This year ArtsVision Summer Camp will feature a musical theater camp - with our end of program production of, “Into the Woods, Jr.” FEES: FREE for DISD Students (Non-DISD Students admitted on on a "space available" basis. So please apply online. CAMP DATES: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM, July 17-28, 2017 SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE: “Into the Woods, Jr.” Saturday, July 29, 2017 4:00PM LOCATION: Classes are held on the campuses of St. Paul United Methodist Church (1816 Routh Street, Dallas, Texas, 75235) and across the street at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (2401 Flora Street).

MISSION

Mission: The mission of ArtsVision™ is to provide Dallas area youth an intensive, well-rounded, performing arts experience, while building an appreciation for the performing and visual arts through immersion, workshops, and activities.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS: Students will participate in activities such, vocal music, Dance (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, lyrical), Musical Theater (stage presence, audition techniques, acting, voice and movement), visual arts, set design, costuming, and more. ArtsVision™ is a Dallas City of Learning Digital Badging site. ArtsVision also provides leadership and mentoring through it’s Summer Intern Program for performing arts high school students in grades 10-12. INSTRUCTORS: ArtsVision™ utilizes a variety of instructors for both the summer and out of school programs and activities. During the summer, our instructors are Booker T. Washington High School alumni, professional teaching artists, and local community volunteer artists. We also provide programs and activities through partnerships with Big Thought, The Arts District Chorale, and Inspiration Inc. Arts in the Community.
